Experience
Following University, Andy joined the central London office team at Herring Son & Daw where he worked for 11 years. During his time with the firm he gained invaluable experience in corporate consultancy, agency, landlord & tenant, investment and development work. He was appointed Associate Director in 1986 and main board Director in 1990. The practice expanded dramatically during his time there and listed on the Stock Market in 1989 before merging with Baker Harris Saunders in 1991 to create one of the UK’s largest property consultancies.
Andy was a founding partner of HMC. He has been involved in some high profile transactions including the letting of 27 Knightsbridge, a 65,000 sq ft Grade A scheme for Henderson Central London Office Fund, providing property advice to HarperCollins Publishers on their 120,000 sq ft head office in Hammersmith. Is retained to provide strategic consultancy advice to the Berners-Allsopp Estate, which has substantial ownerships north of Oxford Street in London's West End. He is an expert on Landlord and Tenant Act matters and is on the RICS panel of Arbitrators.
General
Andy is married with one son and lives in a 17th century listed cottage in deepest Sussex, with rotting timbers, death-watch beetle and subsidence - a typical surveyor's house! His interests are cookery, fly-fishing and walking.
