BSc Urban Estate Management – Liverpool Polytechnic MRICS (General Practice Division)

Experience

After obtaining his degree, Graham commenced employment in Bristol, working for the City Valuers’ Department in the Development Team.  In 1988 Graham moved to London to join the West End Offices Department of Herring Son & Daw, where he gained his RICS qualifications in 1989 and was promoted to Associate Director in 1990.

At Herring Son & Daw Graham acted on both agency and landlord and tenant matters, specifically handling all central London rent reviews and lease renewals for in-house investment clients Touche Remnant and Crusader Insurance.

In 1993, Graham helped to form the new partnership of HMC, where he continued his role in agency and professional matters in the London office market.  Notable projects include:

75 York Road, Waterloo, SE1 (Prospect) – Sale of 60,000 sq ft building to Scottish Widows, plus subsequent development and marketing advice resulting in letting of 55,000 sq ft of refurbished office space to NHS.

Central House, Upper Woburn Place WC1 (GFTU) – Sale of 50,000 sq ft office building to Scottish Widows, plus subsequent letting of vacant offices and restructuring/renewal of existing leases.

Rent Review negotiations for Centaur Communications and WPP at Wells Point, Wells Street W1 totalling 60,000 sq ft and for MI Property Group at 91 Wimpole Street, W1 of some 50,000 sq ft.

Graham is also on the approved register of the Ethical Property Foundation providing pro-bono and reduced fee advice to small charitable organisations

General

Graham is a keen runner, watcher of Sky Sports and all too infrequent golfer.
