Experience

Mark's early career was as a building surveyor within the public sector, working for the Royal London Hospital and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

Mark moved into private practice in 1983 as an associate in the Welling Partnership, dealing mainly with residential developments. In 1988 he joined Herring Son & Daw and in 1989 was appointed director of the main board in charge of project management.

Mark was one of the founding partners of HMC, where he continues to specialise in design and construction management. Major schemes include the project management of the construction of Agriculture House, Stoneleigh Park, as the new headquarters of the NFU. This building was a winner of a major award by the British Council for Offices. Mark has recently been involved in the design and project management of several large refurbishment projects for the University of Westminster on their Central London campus.

General

Mark has three growing daughters and has spent the last few years expanding his house to accommodate extra bathrooms.
